Hey, Bene, just found your thread, read it from start to finish, utterly fascinating, but no posts since last October...did you start a different thread?

It's a few months now that I got some HWH (jacks) parts from Bene and he is holding the rest as soon as I can get them from his place to mine. Bene hope all is well! Mark

The short answer is all is well. A number of things have distracted my attention and run off with much of my free time of late. Since I don't have any write-ups with pics I'm willing to share at this time I just haven't posted. When I do I'll certainly update this thread with more pics and details. As I've said before, I'm in no particular hurry.

FWIW I did have it out running around for a couple of small trips just a few weeks ago. It has a ways to go yet but it still runs like a beast! And no leaks on any of the cooling system rework I finished toward the end of last year before winter hit so that's good! I pretty much finished the rework of the 120v systems and the 12v was very near completed before winter too... along with a number of other things but without pics and write-ups giving a list would be pretty pointless so I won't, yet.

I am really impressed, I just got a 78 3 weeks ago, not in the shape
yours was in, but I've been working on it 8'hours a day for 3 weeks,
and we are almost ready to hit the road, sure hope to meet you someday,
I could learn a lot from you.

It appears the rear half, from about the door rearward would be best served with new subfloor. Though perhaps it would be better to pull it all and salvage what is possible for cabinets and such just to get a good looksee under it and know the whole thing would be sound before rehab?

My 1978 has the same spiral shank nails securing the subfloor to the metal floor. I had to replace several sections and found the nails at Lowe's (HD and others all had 2.5" and longer).
