Default Entry door weather seal

My entry door weather seal is shot, pieces starting to fall off.

A search here turned up a thread by Stephen in August about some M450 door seals he had acquired, and there was an open question about what else they might work for. I called him, and they are definitely not right for my coach. So the starting point is to describe what I have. I couldn't get a picture to show it adequately, so I'm trying a drawing instead. There are two "wipers" with a shorter one that goes in to the frame and a longer one that contacts the edge of the frame:

First question: has anyone found a replacement for these?

Second question: is this the same as your coach/year/model? If so, are you in need of replacement?

The second question is important if there is no answer to the first one. Enough demand and Stephen can probably get something made.

I thought Randy at one time described using a roll of stick on type seal that he bought at HomeyLowes. I could be way off base here as it was a while ago. I hope he jumps in here and "saves" me.

You are correct Brad. On our 94 and Randy's 93 we removed the original thick deteriorated rubber and replaced it with HomieLowes peel and stick. He just did the same thing with his 01 LXi. Original material is too thick and door has to be slammed to close. This slamming caused breaks in both our door welds. These spot aluminium welds broke and the BB fix was to lay a bead of urethane all along where the aluminium skin attached to the inner door structure. This is an excellent repair for anyone with broken welds. I would not use silicon or you may have problems getting any peel and stick to adhere.

OK, so some guidance on what stick-on works best would be helpful. There are four characteristics: width, presumably 1/2 inch, thickness ??, shape ??, and material ??.

Examples of material include EPDM, Silicone, Santoprene, open and closed-cell foam, felt, woven pile, vinyl, and probably more.

Shape can include (at least) flat, D-Profile, K-Profile, P-Profile, and round.

Don,I used the "D" shaped foam,it comes as a double "D",you just pull it apart to use a single "D".
I think what I used was only about 1/4'' or maybe 3/8 wide.
cheap and easy, and it works well.

Thanks, Randy. I won't be near an HD or Lowes for a few months, so I will see if Ace has something appropriate (or order online).
