Default Exhaust insulation wrap to turbo 6v92ta

Should both sides of exhaust inlet to turbo be insulted with blanket ?
If so recommendation on where to obtain insulation wrap and effect on performance.
on a 1983 PT 40
Thoughts?
Cheers

When I did my 83 PT35 I did manifolds to muffler. Containing the heat makes it more efficient and safer.

RobertNM - Not a PT but you might get something out of my 2014 post #86 HERE. Have run a straight pipe with wrap and special lining in the chase for almost 4 years. Project done due to leak I had when I first got the coach. Works as well as day it was installed. Highly recommend the Volcano Tape/Wrap from Summit Racing with install as described in the write up & linked 2-1/2 min video, which is worth watching.

PS - They’re saying you need to update your signature block. Do that by clicking the User CP link above and then go to Edit Signature link on the left. Everyone typically lists the model BB they own as part of their signature.
