Default Looking for ballasts

I am hoping I can get some ballasts from someone who has upgraded to led's..

I am currently in need of one for the bedroom valance which is the same as the ones behind the mirror...marked as for f48t12 , f72t12...

If anyone has some I have a US address and a Canadian address for shipping…

Message me or reply to this thread...

Thanks Les...

I'm not sure if those will work? They look different than mine. Here is a picture of what I have:

They won't.

Dana's ballasts are for the small recessed fluorescents - the F15T8 (15 watt) bulbs.

The F48T12 and F72T12 are much larger bulbs.

I will check when I get home, out camping for the week. I took out mine from the bedroom to install LED.

Default Still needing ballast.

Thanks Lance & Terry,

Hoping you find some...no one else has offered any yet....

I have one that is dead and another that does not always work...

and would like to have a spare...

I have been resisting the call to upgrade to LED's, all the LED's that I have used for other applications have always seemed to bright.

Thanks for your effort to help!

Les,

Here's a possible workaround.
The old ballast is an inverter and ballast in one unit.
What if you were to buy a regular AC ballast and a small inverter, and wire them up so the inverter powers the ballast?
It would accomplish the same thing, just in 2 separate pieces instead of 1.
Haven't tested such a setup, but in theory should work.

I might try that if needed...I think I probably have a small inverter put away somewhere...
