Default blue bird weight

To get my tag this year I need the weight of the coach, I called the tag office and the lady said, no need to weight it, just take the weight off the tag on the door. My data tag on the coach only gives the GVWR which id 42,000 #.
Anyone ever weighted their coach?
I need the weight for a 1983 PT 40.
I understand if the fuel tank is full that adds about 2400 pounds or so.
I am looking for a ball park figure
thanks

Georgia also; my tag office asked for the GVWR so the 42,000 lbs for yours would be correct.

This really stinks. In the past it went by the age of the vehicle and our tag was only $47 per year. Now with Georgia using weight, ourS went up to around $150.00. I know, less than most but still another example of our law makers always trying to find a way to squeeze us harder.....

I found out last month about GA new improved.....no ad valorum tax myself. She asked...I said 40k....paid my $125..done. I guess I shouldn't complain, but we were told, pay the tax..again, on a used vehicle and only pay the tag fee of $20 yearly.

That's Georgia's new "Heavy Vehicle Highway User Impact Fee". 15,500 lbs to 26,000 lbs is $50/year; 26,001 and over is $100/year.

Great. I got the privilege of paying a heavy duty tax when I purchased it in 2014. Thought I was done with them and only had to pay the tag fee annually from then on.

Should've known better than to believe that one.

Mine was next to nothing for the ad valorem and tag. $125 or so and $20 per year on the tag. Gave me some sort of exemption due to the age of the bus. It's good to live in sticks.
