James, I did make a temporary replacement grill when I left mine on the 4 lane bridge over Lewisville Lake one day. Thank you, Randy, for the kind words, but I have been looking for the aluminum louver that is an extrusion for making aircraft piano hinges. Then I will make a jig and fixture to weld them so they are not so fragile. And it will have at least a dozen heavy dzus fasteners (and maybe a strong piano hinge) so you can see that they are secured when you do your walk around inspection.

I should renew my search and build the jig. If I build the jig to support about 6 louvers at once, we could make any size we need. Have to find some nice perimeter extrusion for the frame.

I did speak to a guy who had one built with vertical louvers, but he said that they held snow and ice in the winter. I really don't want the radiator and a/c condenser exposed to foreign object damage.

Sorry all I have is "part" of a WB louver door . Almost fully intact.
Missing a few slats near bottom.
I do have both doors with louvers for an 85 model PT however they are sold with the 85 parts coach.
If the sale is not completed by Oct they will be on market.

James, are you close to making smoke with that thing yet? You’ve been sorta quite for a while.

Default Making smoke

Captain

No not yet. I have been very busy and the heat makes me not volunteer to do much.

I purchased connectors to reconnect all wiring in the engine bay to a multi molex connectors with a termination box and test points that can be accessed under the bed so I don’t have to troubleshoot in the rain or snow.

Looking at using an Allen Bradley SLC 150 to replace the electronics when all the boards die in all the systems.

Making a custom plate to mount better valves for the heater lines

Making new manifold to hold the sensors in one location

Making a dash board to hold secondary gauges for engine bay

Remote camera to view engine while in motion.

Soooo I am pondering.... not doing right now.

Default Making smoke

Mr Bob,

I have both louvers off and looked at making a jig and TIG it together but thought I would look for the easy way out.

I did find these and I think they may be the style I need. I will inquire as to ordering and dimensions available.
