Absent father....working mother.....Thankfully spent lots of time with my Grandparents.......but they couldn't control me. HA I knew it all at 17!!!

Military service was my savior.......I was definitely headed down the wrong path.

If school isn't working and home isn't working - and she's good with her hands - there's a female role model up in Augusta she can learn from. Otherwise, Camp Lejeune!

I agree with the military bit. Straightened a lot of people out(including me).

If you give her a shovel, she's liable to go into politics.

I believe the teacher that had the greatest impact on me in High School was the Agricultural Teacher in our parish Ag Center . As a retired farmer , he taught us the things we were gonna need to know in life . How to respect and help people along with welding , electrical wiring , repairing equipment , caring for animals , how to grow things and even parliamentary procedures . And to top if off , his name was Harold

I wish I had kept in touch with him and his wife after graduating , wonderful down to earth country folks .

Oh man you guys are funny.

My dad used to say that to me when I was a kid and slacking
not studying.
It’s funny you use the same line Randy.
He immigrated from India in the 60’s and went school in Eugene, he came over with all the money he had in his pocket and worked his way up.
He used to hate seeing my son walking around with out a shirt on when he was just a little guy, because the ditch diggers in India do that. I’d always put a shirt on him.
I was with Andy I thought she lived up in snow county.

That’s funny Randy. I fixed a teachers car in the school lot too (loose battery terminals and she didn’t have a clue). Get her a lightbulb. If she asks, it’s to get an idea! Maybe she will have a good one.
