The keyway was narrower in the old hub, so I CNC'd the new key down to fit. It fit nice without much fiddling for a change. I plan on getting the new pump, motor, reservoir, and air compressor swapped in this week if I can escape work for a bit. Then it's just time for some new hoses and awaaaay we go.

That must have been a BFH to make that "smack mark"

A standard Chinese pulley puller that's a free rental from the auto parts would have popped it off of the motor. I just don't get people sometimes. It seems to be OK, no cracks, and the material seems pretty soft.

Andy:

Will the broken off section not affect the balance, or is that negligible?

That's a good word for it. You'd think professionals would be, well, professional, like working to a higher standard. It's just not the case most of the time.

Yeah, your preaching to the choir on that statement

Got the new pump installed finally. Not fun to get it in there because it weighs like 40 lbs and it's farther down in there than I can reach. Lots of swearing and grunting and trial and error got it done. The pump fits in there with tons of clearance all around, no problems there. I just have a few hydraulic lines to get made now and I should be ready to test it out.

The new pump will power the new fan motor which will be controlled by a PWM,right?
Just to keep the gang up to date!
