My bus has an air driven musical horn, it looks like a factory install,
small compresser pass side, has a disk that turns, that has holes in it,
anybody seen one like it? it has 6 horns, it runs but doesn't "blow"

Check out Buckeye Bird (Dan) version, I have one just like his but his installation is a lot nicer.

Had one of those on my 78 FC. One disk-one song. Half the horns were broken so it didn't sound all that good.

If I ever get bored, I may order one and dissect it.
Maybe the audio generator could be replaced with something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Adafruit-Audi...70_&dpSrc=srch
Here's a good demonstration of the setup and usage of that sound board (It appears to be the same one).

I am tempted to try it! What's to lose, 17 bucks? I've wasted more than that in 1 place before!

Smile The Ultimate Horn

Finally got back to the Bird and its Ultimate Horn and found that the passenger side horn was not working. Replaced it with one of the 2 new ones and all is good! Even better my wife is happy again.

Replace the driver side horn also since I had the bird jacked up and blocked.

Thanks to all who provided guidance.

By the way while I was looking through my electrical drawings I did find one specifically for the Ultimate Horn. As soon as I can get to it I'll scan it and post it.

Default Ultimate Horn Issue

The Ultimate Horn on my '99 LXi was working perfectly until a year ago. Now when I turn it on the the display starts at 99 and scrolls down to 00 before starting all over. Pushing the play button does nothing, However, when I turn the horn on while holding the play button the horn goes into the volume control mode. I can go up and down through the volume settings, but as soon as I release the buttons it goes back to scrolling through the song numbers. I have checked fuses, ribbon cable connections, etc. and no change. Does anyone have and more ideas?

I got a pc for the driver management system and have a DJ software on it I was looking to feed through the ear phone jack with a cable to RCA Right and Left to a 12vdc amp with 8ohms out to the speaker up top, then I could play Itunes or spotify to the whole group for Rally music at dinner or Highway to **** when Im on roads in need of repair? Ipad will also work and music source with an ear phone jack and a 12vdc amp.

Mine has the stock musical horn. Recently I discovered a second PA horn under the coach. I believe it’s the PA horn for the CB. I found a guy online who can take the chip and reprogram it with new songs. I may have seen it here, not sure. I can only imagine a mechanical musical horn. Wonder if the wheel is changeable? I have to open up one air horn and clean it. It squeaks when I hit the button. I’ve been thinking of picking up a set of the so called locomotive horns I see on big pickups etc. I like the 3 (or 4) part harmony. I have a small collection of horns. An original Ooga horn. A wolf whistle (probably get me thrown out of a park today if I used it lol) and a little set of Italian squeaky air horns about 6 inches long. They be funny on a 25 ton coach.

Might be the speaker for your alarm system.
