I was looking at the Holley 4 barrel and the tiny electric fan, that stuff does help the MPG.

I'm old enough to remember how those industrial Fords ran like a watch, the fuel gage moved like the second hand.

I thought the same thing when I read that TALL tale.

We had a mid 70’s Ford Louisville line gas burner on the farm when I was a kid. Boy did it ever drink gas. Ran good and pulled pretty good but you paid the price at the pump!! I always thought it should have come with a 3208 which was a common power plant for that vehicle. But, we bought it used and used it a lot till my Dad quit farming. It’s still on the farm in Arkansas if anyone is interested in buying it. Stored under a shed with dust and dirt daubers all over it. Pretty sad for sure.

Cool old Newell. It’s a nice machine that would benefit from a modern diesel transplant. But, if you do all that work and get it right, would you want to camp and take it on trips ?? I don’t think I would.

You need to go and inspect, make up your own mind.

I've seen 20-year old motorhomes is much worse condition than this 50-year old example. That either says a lot for the ownership or for the manufacturer, or both. Not my cup of tea, but sure is interesting to see where Newell had their roots. Thanks for sharing.

That thing looks cool! It would be a great one to rip out and remodel the interior. I'd swap in a modern big block with EFI and maybe a little bit of boost if the radiator area was big enough. Almost what I did with an old Barth.
