Default Frozen Dump Hose

Well , you can only put off a issue so long , lol today we have a new issue . Need to depart our park and it is still 19 out . So my new problem is how to disconnect a frozen solid dump hose , lol You see after dumping gray only a few days back I didn't realize temps were going to remain below freezing and I failed to lift the hose to drain the water . The crazy thing is I did it for the fresh water hose , ough!! My bad . So now I need to figure how to not only save the hose , but dump the tank so we can continue the fun off dry camping for 6 more days here in Pa
I'm thinking of using the exhaust from my intermittent aqua hot to melt the pipe ?

Hair blow dryer if you have one. LOL
Lay it on the ground far enough away not to get the hose too hot and go back inside and have some more coffee.

Try HOT water or electric heat tape if you have to see if will break loose.

Well that plan didn't go so well . Saved the fitting and lost the hose . Plastic even the best is no match for 19 degree frozen water , lol So Erika is off to buy a new hose and a new lesson has been learned . Hove the garden hose in the coach now thawing out so we can fill her up . Man do I love an adventure lol

Hey Al...
the key to all this is to get back to Florida with all us SANE people.

Gonna be in the 70's here in the Sanford/Deland area.
Near 80 in Boca Raton where we're gonna spend Christmas

Had the same issue last winter. After thinking about it, I cut off the hose, poured boiling water over the end to get the bayonet connector off. Did it that way, 'cos I couldn't think of any way to get the frozen "stuff" out the hose even if I'd managed to free it, as it was still in the 20's & we were ready to break camp.
Lesson learned; this winter, I've been careful to disconnect, rinse & empty the hose each time we dump, regardless of the weather forecast!
