We have had one for about three years. Ours is the more industrial looking Classic line and purchased through NAPA (PAC-2K482S). Good machine so far. Only maintenance has been to clean water lines plugged by calcium. If you want it to really cool, dump a couple of 5 gal buckets of ice in the recovery pan!

I like the ice idea!!! Thanks! I'll try that in the just purchased 3000 model. It's running on low fan, garage door open, reported temperature is 93*, humidity at 36%. It's cool in the garage.

I personally haven't had one, but the garage at our state police post has one. They got it a couple of years before I retired and it worked pretty well. They still have it and that would be about 15 years old now and it still does the job. It was one like the pic Chap showed. As far as maintenance I can't help you with that.

I always see them on the sidelines at football games. Have also seen them in shops as well. In Texas it is welcome relief on a hot summer day.

1000 gallons of water, Perkins powered 30K generator, very large water pump, 200 feet of fill hose and 200 feet of squirt hose.

Cooling the neighborhood.
