Default Traveling thru Canada from WI to NY

Hoping someone may have tips, suggestions on route, places to stay or things of interest on the way. We are leaving this July in our 42ft '96 BB headed from WI to Watertown NY. We will be crossing into Canada at Sault Ste Marie MI and into NY at Alexandria Bay crossing. Would appreciate any feedback. It is our first time traveling in Canada. Thanks Russ & Carol

Sounds like a nice drive. If you are passing by the southeastern end of Lake Ontario on the 4th of July, Oswego has a Harborfest and they do a great Firework display. Have only been there for the FMCA, where they all camp in a parking lot with hook ups (it's by the Race Track). If you wanting a place to stay around the Watertown area, I have stayed at Association Island. It is very nice and has full hook ups, check out their website.
As you know, we up north here have to wait for the snow and salt to leave, before we start traveling and make up time. So if you are driving by Syracuse, contact me to see if I'm at home.

If you haven't already, check what you can and can't bring across the boarder. If you have pets you need verification of shots, etc. We have crossed many times with no issues at various crossings.

If you enjoy watching the lake freighters, spend a night or two at the American Soo. Aune Osborne is a city owned campground right on the banks of the St. Marys River. Ships go by very close to the campground.

Leave your projectile launching devices at home the Canadian border crossing agents sometimes don't see their usefulness in Canada. You're welcome to call me if you need more info.

Thank you Gunner Have to check out Association Island, Henderson is a beautiful area. No FMCA rally in Oswego this year when I called. It sounds like fun though
