Have a question on a speedometer for a 1994 BMC 37 ft. My speedometer sitting with the engine running will jump all over the place. Goes from 0 to whatever and back again. Does the same going down the road. What could be causing this issue? Getting ready to take a trip with it and can use a GPS for speed but would like to get it fixed.
Thanks guys in advance for any help

I don't have the sure answer on the bouncing speedo, but I do know how the speed signal wires run into the speedo head on the 94 BB BMC 37.
I would first check for loose wires and ground at the speedo head, then in the compartment under the drivers window, then the cruise control module just in front of left foor when seated at drivers seat. See this thread for locations, wire colors and numbers: http://www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.co...ht=speedometer Let me know if questions and I'll see if I still remember more than the info in the posts. . Also, this speedo is electronic speed, not cable driven. The Allison 3060 has a speed sensor on it, and that is likely where the signal originates for the speedo head. The cruise control ecu may also be involved.
This is our speedo: http://www.egauges.com/pdf/vdo/0-511-011-348.pdf type B, 5 wire speedo, link compliments of Brad Winter who found it for me. Quote:

Thanks Dan
I was in the dash when I had to change out the links on the windshield wiper motor.( Thats another fun job on these coaches) Had the dash tilted forward of course to change that out and may of pulled a wire. Unfortunately I had not drove this coach before I had to change that out so I do not know if it worked before or not and there is no one to ask any longer. I'll let you know what I found out. Another question for you. Do you have any idea how many 1994 BMC's 37' foots are out there or how many BMC owners we have on this site? Just curious Thanks again

Nope, no idea of how many 94 BMC 37', nor how many BMC folks on the site.
