Default Cruise air line repair

I developed a pin hole in my high pressure line next to the schrader valve. (Think that is what its called) I dont have any faith in my brazing/high temp soldering skills so I looked for alternatives.
Found these and gave them a try.

Had to cut the line and the flair it. Schrader valve is no longer connected but I use the sight glass to fill.

Used this since people online gave it high reviews.

I pulled a vacuum and it held. I added some freon and waiting till tomorrow to check it. It holds ill fill it.
I'm not an AC guy as you can probably tell but I'm determined to keep these cruisairs going.

Took a few hours of work but the parts were cheap and only tools I needed to purchase was a flair tool. Less than $ 20 at harbor freight. If this dont work ill try soldering it.

Interesting fix.. I converted one of my units over to 407c.. that way I can buy refrigerant.. i just pulled one of these units out for my buddy.. video of it is on my YouTube.. I think we may be putting it back in this weekend. It’s getting a new compressor and service valves..

I replaced the back compressor last year. I was surprised by thickness of the metal used to box in the units. It wasn't too bad of a job, but I hope I don't have to do it again.
