When the weather clears and gets warmer (I'm a New Yorker myself and understand the weather up there) I would take my hose and start wetting down small areas of the coach until the problem starts in, there by narrowing your search for the short which I truly believe it is. Also I would start with the door 1st and check the wiring located in the door restraint, due to the constant flexing these wires can break or fray.
