The reality is, that power pedestals are all GFI protected and the unbalanced neutral of a cheater cord will, inevitably, trip the GFI breaker. So, there are few instances where you'll be able to effectively use the cord.

I have gotten around it by using the dog bone 30-50 into the coach and running a separate Edison extension cord to the Xantrex inverter charger alone. Still have to manage current draw but definitely less critical. Of course thy neighbor's pedestal is another option.
