Default Blinds for front window

Anyone tried putting a cell type blind ALL the way across the front windshield with black out on back? This would eliminate the need for the curtains but I think the blind would have to be 100" long. Not sure where I would source one that long... I would LOVE to have it automatically open/close rather than fighting with it to get it up/down like the one I have now. Also getting rid of the old Mauve (not PINK!) curtains would be a plus :-)
Not sure what is being used in new coaches but since we are replacing all the curtains in the coach I would like to know what is the coolest, nicest window covering...

Thanks David, We have a shade now that was on the coach when we bought it but it lets in too much heat and my wife still wants the drapes closed because people can see in (she says)... Can you see through the Magneshade and does it block the heat well? I might add that you can't see in during the day but at night with lights on inside you can see in... How big are the magnets that hold the cover in place please?

It does keep the heat out (they claim 90% UV) and visibility is fine looking out but not in (except at night with lights on inside). In fact, I almost drove off with it still on once.
The magnets are about an inch in diameter and guessing 3/8 thick. Very strong!

I replaced the manual shade in my '99 LXi43 with an electric shade. I believe it was a Hunter Douglas, from Home Depot. They had it made to order. I also added two 1/4" foam-board triangles covered with fabric that clipped to the side pillars for total privacy or blackout. Those stored under the sofa.

If you zoom in on the attached photo you can see the panels at the sides of the new shade.

We had the McD shades installed in our 95 BMC 37'. 2 curtains, move up and down simply - - used while driving to block sun. Dark day shade for sun block while parked.

This guy custom makes them on your coach at your lot. They are amazing.

Crit, do you need to get on a ladder to attach the cover? Looks like this cover uses snaps.

Ed,

Drive with them on? That would be great especially driving into the sun in the middle of the summer. And, your visibility is not diminished?

Tell us more.

Jim, it does use snaps that I can attach using the bumper steps and grab handles on the FC. I also have a rear window shade that I can use the ladder to help with if the back of the coach is up higher than normal.
