Got the new Jabsco fill/regulator/backflow installed without the using any of the air purge system. While in there I replaced the old water treatment canister with two GE whole house filters. One is a paper element and the other is carbon. Water looks good and has on odor. After the tanks were full decided to turn on the water heater. When I went back to test the hot water, no such luck. No hot water. Decided I needed to replace the heating element but did some more checking. Got out the volt meter and started checking. Nothing at the heating element. Nothing going into the water heater. Back at the fuse panel the voltage was 124 at the breaker. Thought I might have a broken wire. Before tearing into the wire I took off to the hardware store and got a new element. Got back swapped it out. No joy. 1/2 hour later and several tests later I was about to start into the wiring when Roberta came out to check on the progress. Told her what I had done. She repeated back everything I had done and the ask, "Did you turn the switch on"? Works great now. Love that woman. Wish she had been there 2 hours sooner.

Do you have a big goose egg on your forehead from banging your head against the wall? Rick I know the feeling every spring I have a few "stupid days" I have to retrain myself and call my friends to ask them the same "stupid questions" I asked them last years, just ask Bill Pape
