Default Idea's developing

Another thought I just had (early stages) is to remove the LP tank and cook stove and replace the stove with a Webasto diesel cook stove. I don't know anyone who has done this or heard of it. It's attractive to me because I would have one source of fuel for heat/cooking/hot water and a great place to locate the Webasto 2010 where the LP tank is now located.

I could also go to an electric stove top.

For the BBQ I would just use a small portable tank.

Thoughts ?

A previous owner removed the LP tank on my bus, but I replaced it! If you deal with the cold you can't beat the LP furnaces for quick heat. I like having the gas stove and I installed an LP on-demand water heater that works *awesome*. I would not be without LP, and I have more battery/inverter than most.

While I am working in the battery compartment I want to clean up the whole compartment. I will to remove all the battery hold downs etc, and remove all the rust from the area, clean everything up and coat the whole works with something. I was thinking of using POR or something like that. Any suggestions on a good product ?

Thanks, Dale
