Default Interior Modification

I've been thinking about modifying the front living space of my 94 Wide Body. I'm thinking about removing the couch and the cabinet opposite the couch, then installing two zero wall clearance recliners with fold away tables. I think Randy did this in his coach. I figure if the grandkids want to come along I can bring a tent for them.

If you have done something like this could you share some pictures? I'm trying to talk my wife into it.

I love having a la-z-boy in mine. Different than yours, but the first time I sat down in that recliner and looked out all the windows I was in heaven. My wife just rides around in it now, I might as well get rid of the passenger's seat!

This is what I'm looking at.
I'm thinking to have both recliners face forward toward the windshield.
I would need to remove the drawer/cabinet on the passenger side. Design and build a housing for the heater assembly. Remove sofa, and repeat the design/build for the heater and electronics hidden under the sofa.
While I haven't dug into it yet, they hid the mounting screws for the cabinet very well.
Randy do you happen to have any pictures of your interior? I think that I'm kinda on the same design track that you went down.

Our 95 had 2 Ekornes type chairs. Lots of room but we needed somewhere for family to sleep. I couldn't find a Bird couch so I added an aftermarket, which is really too big. Lots! of room without the couch. The only real drawback was only having 3 chairs to sit with visitors...my drivers doesn't swivel. Bringing my mom on a trip once, we used an double height self inflating mattress that worked well.
I've been considering finding a Bird couch or going back to the two chair setup. I wouldn't recommend a chair with separate foot stool as I find it's always in the way.

Hang tight Kip. I might have a couch for you if I can figure out how to make it work. My wife wants a different configuration so now I'm seeing if I can make it fit. What she wants a Recliner Couch where the current couch is, and the drawer unit across from it removed for a thinner cabinet with a TV lift. Going to probably loose the other original recliner to open up that whole side. Since it is just the two of us it will work. Just worried if I ever want to sell the coach since it will be stuck as a two passenger rig.

So, now I'm measuring like an engineer to see how I can fit it in.

I knew I had a better pic somewhere...
Our new Villa couch has an extension foot rest that pulled out to sleep longways. Our cabinet doesn't allow full extension so I removed it and it's plenty big to sleep sideways. It's electric so I can keep up the bling factor
