Default Fuel flow meter

Anyone have any luck installing a fuel flow meter to their bird?
The hubby is toying with the idea so he can get a better MPG rating.

Also thoughts on an RV GPS to show low overpasses and bridge weights. I already have 3 GPS's but they are for cars...do I really need yet another one just for the bus?

Very funny Randy. I am always count on you to give me some smart@#$ answer. lol I don't see why one would want to know just how bad the fuel consumption is...that would depress me, but I guess from a mechanics standpoint, he wants to know so he can tell if something changes.

That's well and good but we don't have a functioning speedo so it's all a guessing game at this point. a fuel flow meter might be more precise.

Anyone use an RV GPS? vs a regular GPS. Is it worth it to get one?

I have an RV GPS the previous owner left with me. I like it because you can set length and height and it'll let you know the routes that handle it. I dislike it because it'll send you ways it knows are safe over ways that could be much quicker. When we went to Myrtle Beach it cost us a good 30 minutes or more driving time because I followed it's route over a more direct one. It does the same thing around the house. Paths I know are good it won't take because it is "unknown" if safe.

I default to it when not in known areas. I ignore it when I know the route is safe...

Thank you for actually answering my question. Wonder if a new one would "know" more safe routes and hopefully they are updatable.
