Default Engine won’t start

We’ve been sitting for 2 months, and I decided to excercise my bus, but it will not start, engine rotates maybe 3 revolutions, then stops. I tried a few starts using the AUX switch held in the down position, no bueno..
Pulled the 6 month old batteries, and had them checked (they’re good) cleaned grounds, and pos posts.

I’m thinking starter, what say 380 guys?

most overlook repair is the starter cables. a new starter often works only because it is a bit stronger. but soon fails because the muffed starter was only a result and was not the needed repair.
Can also be voltage drop between batteries or one totally muffed battery.

Wow - great video, Greg. Love it when something is explained at a level where even I can use it

Sorry for the mini-hijack, Lance. Hope you get your 380 started. Mine has been sitting unstarted for 3 months and your problem now has me planning a trip this week to the storage garage to make sure I’m not in the same boat.

I’d been certain to keep a bucket over the stack, so, doubt I have water in the exhaust..
Both batteries read 12.8v, cables and terminals are in good shape.
I think I read a post about hooking a jumper between the starter and a chassis battery, then attempting a start?

I would check the Oil level to see if Water Snuck in there, And drain a little out of the pan to see if water is holding up the oil.
Sure would be bad to have a Milkshake in there.
If No water found, I would still try to rotate the engine manually to be sure nothing is hung up.
Then jumping starter and/or cable check would be next.

Good Luck!

Turned balancer backwards 270*, no help...engine turns very slow, I’ll check voltage at the starter when the rain lets up...
