John,
Our later birds have a rectangular sealed beam landing light. It holds up much better than the earlier round ones- or at least the housing does!

The old style are made by Morse. They come in both an aluminum and plastic version. I had no luck disassembling my old aluminum ones. A rare instance where I prefer plastic over metal. I've seen several sets of NOS alum ones come up on eBay.

Elliot,

I didn't get to the lights until well after 10. I just took out the screws in the rubber. The assembly came out after that. I don't remember it being anything tough.

Default What is this (LANDING LIGHTS)

I am replacing a Landing Light and could only find 50 watters at John Deere for $20.42 or Lowes' for $8.98 .

Where can I get the 100 watts? also replacement pieces for the housing for my 87 PT38!

Jim, don't know if yours is the same rectangular bulb, but I bought a Wagner #H-9411 at NAPA for about $25.

Napa is the place. I also bought my Grote LED stop/turn lights from them that Shane installed a couple years ago

Default Right side landing light assy

Hit it on something on our snowy trip home from NC. I need the plastic part that the bulb sits in on a 1980 FC35. Used is fine. It takes a round bulb. TIA, Rick in NW Ohio
