Has anybody ever seen Late 80s or early 90s bluebird use spline shaft fan before????
My fan motor part number is in fact for spline shaft.
That is what I have in my hands I'm going to have to go in and let the mechanics take it apart. I really hate to do that and less there's a good chance that it could be correct.
Keep in mind my bus is serial numbered as 001 wide-body.
Lord knows what bluebird did when they made this machine.

44970–33 is not a splined shaft motor.

Exactly where did you get that information?

From the one that I installed into my bus and the old one I have sitting on the shelf. It's also been posted on here by other people in the past. You have the wrong unit.

If they claim that motor is a replacement for the 44970-33 or 44970-30 then they are incorrect or the replacement was built incorrectly. You need a tapered shaft.

Where is your old motor?

OK before I go back at the sky and called him again I'm going to ask you I hate to, the part number I have on mine you have looked at the
"WE 44970-33 F90K" I hate to go back to this guy and in effect tell him he's a liar. Or he doesn't know what he's doing and less I'm 100% sure. I can quote your entire specifications to him and see if that jogs him any but please double check my number that is what stamped on my motor

Hi Mark,

I don’t have any kind of cross reference and I can’t speculate as to how your guy came up with the number for the motor he sent you.

I can tell you that I tried to buy a fan motor back in about 2007, for my 84 1/2 PT 36 from the Wanderlodge parts department but they didn’t have any in stock at the time. The Wanderlodge parts department guy (Earl) was kind enough to give me Judy’s contact information so that I could buy directly from their supplier which was hydraulic.net, LLC.

I called Judy at hydraulic.net, LLC and she gave me the information that I posted. She said that Wanderlodge had something like 10 of the WHI 44970-33 fan motors on order so she added my motor to the production order.

I bought that WHI 44970-33 fan motor at the time but I never installed it. I ended up giving it to the guy that bought my coach and whoever put it on for him a couple of years later didn’t get the fan on tight and it ruined the new motor. He was stranded so he contacted me and we ordered another one from hydraulic.net, LLC. which got one to him in a couple of days. So I’m confident that an WHI 44970-33 fan motor from hydraulic.net, LLC had a tapered shaft and was a good replacement for what was in my 84 1/2 PT36 (and from this thread it appears it’s a good replacement for a 91 WB as well).

Well the latest on my hydraulic motor. I got a call from Tommy at Flint hydraulic and they will be sending me an RMA number so that I can return the existing motor.
They will build me a motor with the correct shaft and send it out to me toward the end of next month. This of course is too late for me to have it installed before Leave for the summer but my neighbor will pick it up and hold it should I need it in our travels. One more year of slow leak shouldn't be too bad.
At least there's a result of this and there are two places I can build one of these motors. Flint is more expensive but would've been excellent to meet my departure schedule but that's sort of blew up in a hurry.
If anybody ever gets a hold of Timothée with that part number again he will Always remember it.

At least get a rebuild kit or something while it's all apart, no? Is it apart?
