Call anytime. I am by no means an expert at this. Like most jobs the time is in the prep. I have been meaning to paint this area for a few years. I fixed the goat rail fairings, and painted them 5 years ago, I can't believe it was that long ago but I checked the WOG thread. The top has really needed paint since then. Like most jobs the hardest thing is starting. It's just work after that.

He told me "you never get rust under a run". I think Petes job is going to be just fine.

Mine could have used an update on paint in that area also.
I just had a vinyl wrap guy come out and wrap for $300 3 years ago in a gold stripe. Still looks good.

Right side painted. Two coats colour, two coats clear. It is not perfect, but it is okay.
I went with white for a couple reasons. The blue used to get very hot in the sun, and it is a metallic paint, which is a lot harder to spray well.

It looks good from here!
I think changing over to white was a good move. Is that a single stage paint or base/clear?

Slowly getting there. Painted the top white. The lights are held by wire while the paint dries.
