I am still waiting for a Jeep wrangler rubicon unlimited 4door Diesel!
Been waiting for a diesel wrangler for 5 years... When will they wake up?
Maybe Toyota will bring out a real land cruiser diesel with removable top...
That was the only thing I didn't like about our 06 liberty - no removable top... Otherwise we loved it (but don't tell my wife I said that - I'm wanting a Wrangler now).

I have read in published news articles that in Europe the Wrangler is diesel powered. I suspect it cannot meet pollution requirements here.

Since a Wrangler engine bay is big enough for a Caddy 500, just find the Wrangler and put whatever you want in it!

Hi John,
When I was at a Jeep Rally in PA, there was the CJ, with a toyota diesel in it...

Here is a pix of it... You have to look at the tag...

You could almost get a Duramax in there! That would be a nice package...my Chevy C3500 pulls like crazy and gets 17.2 on trips without the big trailer.

Larry,

That's a sweet CJ (YJ, WJ, PJ or whatever is actually is!)

Bob,

A Duramax would drop in there just fine. With the right A-Dap-Ter kit, you could bolt it to the stock tranny and transfer case and let 'er rip! There are some sweet little diesels out there to use.

I'm thinking a 600DP Holley will fix it up nicely!! Tough to beat a good DP.

John, 383 strocker, probably has a mild bump stick, I opt for a 750 DP with a mild ramp for the secondary.
