Default Atwood AC

https://www.amazon.com/Atwood-15027-...f-682609c771e8

Someone want to look at this 13,500 unit, tell me why it's priced right and can it replace the rear AC?

If you look at the bottom of the page the guy says why. It runs all the time either in a/c mode or fan. Doesn't shut off.

I can assure you it does that because I had one in the back of my coach. Took it out and went with something else.

I set my bedroom AC for the fan to run all the time. The compressor cuts in and out via temp. Makes white noise and doesn't wake me when it starts.

I put the Atwood in bedroom. Fan does run all the time. I like it because it does NOT use wall thermostat. Has controls on it, or can use wireless remote. Nice to change temp in middle of the night without getting up.

what's the difference between ducted and ductless AC units? The unit in OP is ducted.

Ducted units send the air into ducts that are eventually expelled along the sides of the bus, in various locations. The non-ducted one the air comes out the bottom of the unit itself. I think most of the 90 and newer buses have the ducts along the sides.
