Default Brakes, Rotors and pads for M-380

I had been looking for new rotors and pads for my M-380 and was finding it difficult to locate. They were made by Meritor, they were not in stock, but they suggest I Fleetrite who only sell through their dealer the nearest one for me was Flagstaff (RWC Group).
I also found the brake pads on eBay.

Rear rotors part number 23123615002 (Meritor number)

Pads 225020

Complete caliper assembly 16160001001
I hope this helps others find what they need. The pricing for rotors and pads were under a grand.

Robert,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you may find that to make your new roters fit may require new rear hubs. Rockwell changed the rear hubs after the M 380’s were built and the new rotors will not fit the old hubs. At least that is what has been reported by other 380 owners.

Default M380 Brake Issues and Solutions

Ron -

Sorry to hear about your brake issues. There’s nothing like trial by fire to quicken the learning curve. You might find this thread from 3 years ago to be helpful - https://www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.c...ad.php?t=23215

Three years ago, a brand new caliper assembly was $2,500 . The four pistons on each can be rebuilt with the right seal kits. Purchased mine from KingKaliper. Jim’s right (as usual ). I had to replace the rear hubs so new rotors would fit. The hub/rotor combo BB used was a limited production and currently available Meritor rotors will not fit on them. Sourced new style rear hubs & rotors off the internet, and I got new front rotors to fit the old style hubs from Randy.

When you have problems, don’t forget to search the WOG. Lots of history and experience available here for the asking. Didn’t know that we have a Prescott M380 owner. Welcome to the club!

Van

Here is the WOG link to the Meritor maintenance manual, a lot of good brake info here.

Good find on the parts, I’m curious, what are the issues with your brakes?
