You need to find the port on the SUCTION side which is the return to the compressor. This also will be the colder or in your case the cooler metal pipe as the HIGH side is the HOT liquid side from the compressor and under HIGH PRESSURE.

DO NOT EVER connect a small freon 14oz can to the HIGH side as it will EXPLODE on you.

Got it. Thanks for the words of wisdom. Better than trial and error.

Where should I be looking for the other connection? or are both in the same area?

Disregard, I see both in same area.

I haven't seen a single "Service Port" in any of your pictures. Look around your Air Conditioner https://www.summitracing.com/parts/a...ad2f1f15f0Pump.

Can you point and take a pick of what you are calling the port? I think they are hose connections only. Do not remove until we sort this out. Open the system and you may be needing a receiver/dryer also.

Our ports are on top of the compressor itself. They may have plastic caps but will look like Rick's photo. They are typically two slightly different sizes. A simple refill kit "should" only fit the low pressure side. Try a refill (may take 2 cans)...but a refill only likely gives you only about a 30% chance of cooling...there are other issues that may be at play.

Of course: BB and subsequent owners may have made changes from our '84FC. Good liuck!

Yes, this is the set up. I'm working on it. I may need to lose a few pounds or remove the dog house!
