Mark:
Randy took my black tank out a few years ago as the heater melted a hole in the bottom...it slid out as the big side comes out first and gets more narrow.....we got same kind of material and cut it in sliver strips and just "welded" it onto the hole with a soldering gun...pretty easy fix...In fact 6 years later, I still have about 20 sliver strips just in case I ever get another leak..........the grey tank slides out from the other side fatter to slimmer once the metal cover is off....
Regards,
Hank

I'm getting a new noise when running water in the bathroom sink. I can hear it in the drain in the shower like it is water running into an empty tank. I'd never heard this noise until dumping the tanks about 3 days ago. It's not just my hearing. My wife noticed it too.
I can't find any leaks in the bay or under the coach. I just let the water run for a while in the sink and then dumped the gray tank. Everything seems to be working fine. No odors, thank you!!!
Any ideas why I'm suddenly hearing the water run into the tank?

Maybe a hairball finally washed out of the trap under the shower drain? If no leaks... !

Chip,
Can you hear the sink water drain from the shower in your unit? Maybe I'm just getting around to normal.

With our 88 FC, I hear it from the bath sink as it drains into the black tank with some water in it, then it gets quiet, as it fills, this works better than the tank gauges.
