It is a hard place to get good light with my equipment. Here is another picture. I read 2643C198RH6 1890 looking at it
There is a pipe in the way of getting the proper angle. I will try again after dark with a better light and no bckground

Yes Yes, a little less when warm and under full load Quiet, for a Perkins. I ran the valves when I installed the new genny head. I'm going to have them rebuilt the whole pump, then it should last me as long as I need the coach. TOM

Retard the pump timing.
Loosen the 3 bolts that hold it to the engine, the back bolt is an allen head. use a long extension to get to it. Put a witness mark on the pump and engine,so you know where you started. Rotate the pump, tighten the bolts, run the engine. It will take some heat to burn the smoke out of the pipes. I can't remember which way to rotate the pump. try it and see what you get. If its quiet, its not right. The lines will let it move, but once you find the sweet spot loosen the lines and then re-tighten,that will relieve the pressure on the lines.

Randy, once I get the pump back I'll get it timed correctly.
Thanks to everybody for the pics and interpretation. LOL! As an aside, my new goal in life is to have the exterior of my coach look as good as Shane's injection pump!! TOM

A clean injection pump is, well, a sign of mental issues LOL... I just find it easier to work on stuff when it's clean. You really need to load that Perkins when it's running. Leave your block heater on to add some resistance. If you are just charging batteries, it will get sooty in a short amount of time. I will run mine with all electric heaters, block heater and an A/C unit occasionally to burn off the carbon deposits. Randy's right about the motor being too big for the genny. The other problem with the original design was that the 220V fan was on constantly and the coolant never got above 165° You really want the coolant up around 195° if possible.

AS shane says, engine temps should be 195 or so.
I forgot how cool those things run with that big fan.
