Default Steering Problems

Does anyone know where I can find a drag rod tube vertical joint for an 89 Sp 36'? My mechanic was trying to get the rear tie rod end off & couldn't get it off He put heat on it and now he is afraid he could have ruined the threads. He would like to find a new drag rod before he pulls the old one off. He won't be able to move the bus till he can put a new one on & that will tie up his shop. Thanks Don The BB number in my book is 1331057. He has both tie rod ends

Do a search for CLASS 8 DRAG LINKS. You will need to know the length of the tube.
https://www.rustysoffroad.com/rustys...nk-custom.html
https://www.truckspring.com/drag-links.aspx
Heating the end and soaking it in Break Free will not damage the internal threads of the tube.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I'll tell him that. If we don't get it fixed we won't get to FL this year. It is starting to get cold up hear in PA. Thanks Don

Where have you called/looked?
Did you call Ridewell?
Do you have a cross over number from the BB number to another number?

Randy I'm not sure if he has a crossover number or not. I'm going down there this morning so I will find out.

Glad you got it fixed. Air up the coach and check your steering wheels spoke position when driving straight as it may need to be reset if it is off.
