Default More Power!!

I would like to run the 2 flat screen T.v.'s and a few outlets to charge phones ( kids need to watch TV and be on there phones ) plus my wife would like to watch some every now and again. I would like to do this without running the generator.. Now can I hook up like 2 more alternators ? And if so how would you wire something like that up ?

Two TV's and 10 phones isn't much of a load unless they are tube TV's or plasmas. If they are LCD's you don't need more alternators or anything like that.

Doesn't your unit already have an inverter?

Bigger or additional alternator would only give you more power running down the road .

The alternator you have now should easily run the load you mentioned with the appropriate inverter .

For more power dry camping , you should concentrate on having a good battery bank .

Several outlets in our 1987 PT38 are powered by the inverter. My thinking is your coach would be the same. I suggest no gen/shore power, engine not running, inverter ON, test each receptacle using a 120V elec. drill or similar, mark each that has power. Be sure to test both outlets in each receptacle. Ours has inverter power to one of the two. hth

Same .. the outlets that the TV are on dont work with gen/shore switch in off .. only the plug in the galley.. I was just trying to figure out how to make it possible for the others work ?

The TV factory outlet setup will not work because the law requires that it not be set up to work while going down the road. You will have to change the power source for that outlet or find one that is on the inverter circuit and plug the TV into that.
