Default Body Parts

Hi All,

We are still looking for our coach upgrade, and have a few more questions.

Are there sources for Wanderlodge body parts? Are things like windshields, fiberglass caps, side moldings still available for some years vs others? Is there a source for the fiberglass/ metal for newer models? If not, what happens if a body part is damaged beyond repair?

There has been some discussion regarding the boondockability of certain birds. With the installation of a few extra house batts and a solar charging system, can an electric coach be used off the grid for an extended period of time? We want to be light on genset use, and know A/C is a no-no on anything but shore or generator.

Thanks all for your help and input. You guys are a great source of info.

Mike & Mary

Body parts can be remade most of the time whether they are metal or fiberglass there are shops that can repair/rebuild.
Yes some of us do have some body parts from the auction.
In addition Randy has lower half of 95 & almost complete 94 for many parts, a TON of late model shocks etc.
A lot depends on what you want and when needed.
You are correct in thinking on boondocking older Birds do it better than newer Birds.
With addition of solar panels you can survive off grid for long period of time $$$+$$$=more time.

M&M,

Older model 'Birds can use some of the body panels that are used on the Bluebird School bus and Tom Warner has a contact with a supplier that can manufacture these panels.
