From what i hear from friends that worked at BB the coach was restored in looks only.
They did a quicky restoring on it for a showing at the RIV,new faucets ac units etc.
According to my buddy the faucets are not even hooked up,they are there for display purposes only.
The AC units may be old non working units off of customer coachs,we are not sure.
It does run and drive,but leaks oil and coolant badly,its a 348 chevy engine,gas job.
Of course this is all hearsay,but it did come from an X employee of BB.

1975--1980 No info on Wanderlodge #1 other than it was stored in same out building with Blue bird #1 the school bus. Blue Bird #1 the school bus was rebuilt by the sons George Buddy and Joe Luce for their Dad Albert the orgional founder of Blue Bird.The BB#1 was reported as being only a cab and frame left, the body was remade as per orgional.
I have a copy of "The History of Blue Bird" when I can locate it I'll double check dates.

Here are some photos of my 1964 (April) BB Wanderlodge. I acquired it in Dec 2017 and have been making major repairs and mods to it. Still a lot to be done, but will be making a maiden voyage next week.

i tried to buy it back in 2008,they wanted $100,000.
i offered $5000,which was $4000 too much.
It was mostly all there,but had not run in years,348 chevy.
They used to drive it to the RIV at Perry,from the factory,but the fairgrounds told them they could not drive it on fairgrounds property,because it leaked oil so bad.
so they trucked it over.
but,its still part of history,which we (wog) are the only ones that care these days.
