Default Side Mirror R & R

A visitor to my house got his trailer hung up on my passenger side mirror and messed it up pretty good. It will no longer tighten up, probably stripped the screws that hold down the "doughnut" that hold the ball in the socket and now the mirror is all floppy

Anyone have an extra set of these mirrors they want to sell, or donate?
Anyone have luck in sourcing parts for these?
Anyone know the brand of these mirrors?

Priced a new set of Ramcos, non power, non electric. They are proud of their product, and should be....but my glass is in good shape and I just need some parts. Maybe a good machine shop could fabricate parts for me?

thoughts?
Suggestions?

thanks

Good machine shop can do. I had one repaired on my 83pt by a friend. He had to rotate the washer looking bracket due to broken screws, drilled new holes and tapped them to accept new screws.

Should be pretty easy to drill out the holes and put in a larger / longer screw..??

Any good shop should be able to do it, or you could buy a drill and tap and do it yourself. I did it on mine since one of the mirrors on my '87 fell off a few years ago.

Stewart, Ramco will ship you repair parts. Give them a ring at 800-888-5656. While at BATB Tom Arnold received parts within a couple of days.

Resurrecting this old thread-- if not Ramco, are these some other known brand, or are the BB specific? Asking "for a friend" who may have backed his passenger mirror into a tree. (The tree, for what it's worth, had no business being 12 o'clock to the back-in parking spot)

Just cracked open my mirror to replace the glass and make them adjustable again. They say made in canada in them... but no name of the manufacturer that I can see so far. I will take a closer look at them... What is broken? MCI used these same mirrors and I was able to source the mirror glass and some parts from MCI.

seized up, hex set screws seized up, lots of rust in what I can get to come apart... or quartzite dirt maybe? Wasn't expecting alot of rusted iron in these, but it seems to have it. Glass is fortunately good-- just can't get it positioned and have it stay. For the last 5 years its been held in position by some jerry-rigged pipe clamps at the base, wedging it to stay put.

Does the large slotted cap where the arm meets the mount bracket come off? Screw or pry? (obviously neither have worked for me)

I rebuilt one of mine. There is a spring in there with a cap on the bottom that the screw pushes against. The bottom cap on the spring had rusted away, I used some washers in place of the cap that fit under the spring. I got heavy duty ones from a fastener/boot shop the Home Depot ones won’t handle the pressure. I think I had to drill out a few of the screws that held it all together also the heads were stripped and some were seized. First step pull it apart, you can rebuild it.
