350-400hp 5.9 would be fine in a pick up for dependability. Not sure how it would hold up pushing a 20k lb coach?

Cac mounting process. I assume you will be using a 5.9, looked over a 5.9 install on a FC a few years ago, rad and cac install wasn't quite as far fwd as mine. Don't listen to the dentist, there's never enough horsepower.

I've been told that before. I scare easily and nothing scares me more then getting ahead of myself in the bus. They handle like a elephant on a skate board. Just saying......

[QUOTE=Bigaxel;237087]Guys & Gals,
. BTW, I use this to tow a race car trailer. We put 4800 miles on it last year.

Tell about the racecar. Pictures please. Thanks in advance.

There was a guy on here last year doing that swap. Was it ever finished? I thought he was wrapping it up but then he didn't post for a while.

IMHO Both Mike and John make great points. I would love to have additional power, but driving on a skate board is difficult.

Default Engine Swap

Guys,
I probably won't go over 65, i know this tank has it limitations. it's the 30 up hills that i want to fix. I plan on using the 5.9 engine.

Mike,
where did you get the intercooler? that's exactly what i was thinking in regards to mounting.

Thats a school bus CAC and rad.
We parted out a firetruck that used the same setup.
Buy yourself a school bus with the engine/tranny you want,use the engine/tranny.all mounts,exhaust etc.
Thats the only way to do this job,chasing down everything you need,one piece at a time will be costly,and time consuming.
