If your vegie oil is clean enough, might work in the webasto. plenty of heat free. I think the 2020 is 80,000 BTU. That should be enough heat.

No such thing as free fuel! You got to pay to be able to play. Spending money to burn veggie oil without an "in house" source is a tough game. Many people go to all this and find the place they thought would give them their waste oil, has a signed contract to sell it to someone. Fuel is a very small expense in the cost of a Wanderlodge. Would I like free fuel? Sure I would. If someone finds some and there is no cost involved, save me some, Ill come by later and pick it up if I can get the coach and toad around behind Ray's burger land.

One could always install a standard propane RV water heater for the soul purpose of having it recycle through the engine block heater circuit. You can choose from 9,000-30,000 BTU's depending on your needs. To get more use out of it you could also run it through an inside radiator for some inside heat too.

for me the extra space needed you veggie oil etc. alone would be a deal breaker plus vary small nozzel in small diesel heaters they need clean fuel and lastly - connie would make me throw out my junk errr stuff to come up with the space!! so i will be using fuel to heat things up...mike

Yea.. veggie is not all that it's cracked up to be.

1) It's extremely dirty so you have to really filter it well.
2) you'll need a lot of filters
3) you'll need a pumping system to filter it
4) you'll need the storage space for the oil
5) its very messy
6) most companies have contracts so you don't simply get it for free
7) most restauarants will not let any joe-blow drive a bus on their property to suck oil from their tanks.. spills, messes, traffic, liability, etc...
8) you can't even start your bus on it, have to have switching valves.

Basically it is a dream that works well on paper and sux in real life...

I have been doing veggie oil for about ten years.I Have saved about 30000.00 in that time.
It's a lot of work, but is it worth it? Filtering it right is the most important thing. Then heating it properly is next.

Sandy with your wealth of experience I'm sure you could provide us with some great info. Why not tell us about your ten years of veggie oil. Where do you get it? How do you filter it fine enough to use? What problems have you encountered and overcome? etc etc. I think you might have a great story here. Oh ya if you have pictures great. We love pictures.
