Under The Awning Here is where you can carry on a conversation, just like............well, like you were sitting under your awning at the campsite. |

Life happens and things come up, we couldn't get a building up like we wanted but did manage a concrete slab to park our Bird on. Didn't want to leave it sitting on the gravel or grass.
Hoping we can finish it up next spring/summer. Still can't park on it, but will be by the end of the week. ![]() ~T

Not exactly the optimum time for placing concrete at your latitude.
![]() The transit mixer left no ruts though... It appears you are doing a monolithic concrete slab foundation? Thanks for sharing the picture. Quote:

Looks good. Wish I had one like it.
No concrete poured in Eufaula OK to day. Must be warmer there of they are using hot water and chemicals. I would sure hate to be out there finishing.

I can't imagine being able to park on it the "end of the week". Even ordering 4000lb and admixtures and I was advised not to park on my for 21 days minimum.

I agree. I would wait at least a couple weeks, with a larger rig like a BB. Car or pickup, fine. But, a lot of weight under those axles on a BB. What is a few weeks, in the lifespan of a concrete slab?

I don't have any idea the temp, but cold sure affects curing, don't rush it.

well, it's been 30 days since it's been put down and we have to park on it now.
Weather is coming and we can't leave our Bird where it is. Got a little muddy getting there, but it looks good sitting on it....can't wait to have a building.

Now you see where to put some gravel!!
Good job and stack some hay around that nice unit to keep it warm!

ya, thick layer of gravel in that section, hoping the tractor will push some of that out when plowing. If not, come spring we'll push it around. LOL. ~T
