Default Jump Seat or Buddy Chair?

Planning a trip with two passengers. The idea of a Jump seat between the two captains chairs was raised. I politely said I would present the idea to the forum for input. Other option is the super wide buddy chair. Personally I think the couch is a great seat. My kids never complained once in ten years of riding.
Anyway I promised I would ask

What think you WOG ?!?!?!?!?!

We use the super wide buddy seat for one passenger and a pet. Everyone else sits on the couch with a seat belt on.

In FL, the front seats MUST have a seatbelt.
The ones behind the front seats do not.
However, our couch does have them.
Not sure how you plan to "mount/set" the "Buddy" seat.
