Then if you every try to sell. It’s certainly a limited market on both ends.

Here’s a wild idea:
What about removing the living room slide from a slide coach and replacing it with a flip down ramp?

There was a guy at the Q Rally a number of years back that had a Wanderlodge with a wheelchair lift, mid ship if I remember correctly and I think it was an LXi.
He used the bus to transfer sick patients around the country..I think?? Anyone remember something like that being at the rally or am I confusing it with something else?

I think this is what Randy mentioned - http://www.coachlift.com - see their video at this link
A couple years ago I was close to adding a chairlift to our M380 for my RV loving 96 year-young uncle. It would’ve worked quite well for our door width & floor height above the ground. Back then, the same lift mechanisms could also be found on Craigslist for about 1/2 their new price. If resale was a concern, they could be removed with no permanent “scars”. Lastly, they’re made in the Phoenix AZ area & could be installed here too. Sadly, my uncle “moved on” just before the project got started. .

I can't say one way or another about an LXI but this older Bird, that transported patients, was at the Parliament Coach Rally in 2011: http://www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.com/forums/showpost.php?p=89289&postcount=123 http://www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.com/forums/showpost.php?p=89291&postcount=124 http://www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.com/forums/showpost.php?p=89292&postcount=125

National Medical Transport is still in business, and still using the Wanderlodge!
https://www.facebook.com/pg/National...=page_internal Maybe start by contacting him for advice/suggestions. How wide of an entrance do you need? When I was selling my SOB a potential buyer was more concerned with door width for a wheel chair lift he was planning on having installed. If we know how wide of an entry is required, there are people here (smarter than me) that can tell you if any Birds have that width of entryway. A mid entry may be the best option, if width is available. Then the question is what accessibility is needed once inside the coach? I assume you will want to have access to bathroom, shower & bedroom? There may be a model out there that has the clearance you need. If work needs done for modifications, will you be able to manage or will you be hiring out the work? The next obvious thing is, A bird would be a perfect platform for a lift. Plenty of structure to work with. Also this guy in Australia had a Wanderlodge that was fitted with an access door by a previous owner. https://youtu.be/7PcG5nGYpYg

Her power chair is 25" wide and a under floor or under vehicle lift would work on a mid door if a wide body model has that. Was also thinking of a lift replacing a window bay just behind passenger seat. Access to the bathroom is needed but not to the bedroom.
I appreciate all the friendly advice

The floor height of a Bird is very high,a custom lift may have to be built, most lifts go in a low floor bus or van.
Not saying it can't be done, but custom stuff will be spendy. Pattys bus has a gurney lift, and its way up high. An elevator might be the way to go,maybe.

Flippin the Bird has a side access. Not sure of original intent, but looks professional and useful. At 2:56
