Default Mississippi

We are considering travel in Mississippi this spring. Can anyone share their experiences traveling the Great River Road or Natchez Trace? Also any must visit sites and restaurants or campgrounds. Thanks

Hey Bill! Great place to visit. It will be ALOT more interesting if you listen to (or read) the following novel before going down the trace. https://www.amazon.com/Deep-South-An.../dp/0425178951

A "MUST" is a visit with "Mr. D" at the country store in Lorman, MS.... He is the real deal! GO HUNGRY! [YTHD]youtu.be/VILk8-_XN20[YTHD]

Camp for a couple of days at Riverview RV Park. There is plenty of history and good eats in Natchez. Others will be responding with their recs, but you and Tracy will have a great time.

We plan on doing the trace when we go back to love birds on the river. I heard it's slow going. But we are in a FC. So we will not notice

I did the Natchez Trace on a bike ride. It is nice, but do your homework before taking the trail. There aren't that many signs along the way to tell you of "specific" attractions. There are signs all over the place telling you about "Points of Interest" So you need to know where you want to go and what you want to see, because you virtually see nothing on the trail itself. Most of it is a canopy of trees and it is difficult to see anything but the road. It can be a fun ride, but you need to know what is along the way or you will miss a lot of the fun of the trail.

I have driven the Trace in both a FC and a M380. No problems at all. Two lanes and you must get off the Trace for any services. LOT OF BUGS in the summer time. Nice drive though.
