Default 1988 XXV

I have heard only 25 of these were made! Do people here who know about this model recommend it? Any known issues? I understand like any other vehicle it has to do with history of care and service or lack thereof! But, beside that are these comparable to other PT 40s, better or...?

XXV aren’t better, it’s a matter of personal likes. When I owned an XXV I really liked the gray and black tones. Most guys like mechanical engines vs DDECs. Here’s the link of my previous XXV that I just sold http://www.1988wanderlodge.com

The XXV has a distinctive look, the big XXV on the side and the stainless trim,it makes a statement!

I still (when i see one) say,hey look,an XXV!
Of course i love the XV model too!
Both were different, the trim package anyway.

I salvaged the big XXV off a wrecked one,i have those letters screwed to my shop wall, just because they are cool!

Thank you MJ and Randy, so it just the trim package that is different from the other 1988 PTs and DDEC?

PTs have mechanical engines. WBs like the XXV will be DDEC 1.

My WB is not an XXV, so mine has the more desirable mauve interior color scheme. Ha!

Well, don't feel left out, Diego, I am running Romex in my soothing mauve interior today. Need to tune over to the Yacht Rock station and sit back...

Although the interior is nice in the Silver editions there is a lack of cupboards. Just some upholstered valences in some areas.

The sliding cover over the vent, custom or original?

My Silver Edition 90 SP (7/89 production so one of the last) has airline cabinets over driver/passenger as well as down both front sides, over the bed plus good kitchen cabinets, airline latches on the drawers in the bedroom behind the bath and main closet et.c. Even a sneaky little "secret" drawer under the forward dinette booth. No wasted space to be sure. I have seen some with a dearth of cupboards as you suggest. Now to find a trash can that fits under the front table where the drawer comes out...
