Call Sammy at the campground, he will make accommodations.
I just finished a weekend of tenting. Sure made me miss my motorhome. Lol

Got our reservations. We’re in cabin #1. Does anyone ever do any fishing while they’re there?

There isn't anyplace to fish on the campground but there are more lakes and the St. Joseph River than you can imagine. Of course a license is needed and being out of state, may not be worth it, but what do I know. What I do know is the DNR (Department of Natural Resources) only hires guys that like to make your life miserable. I think it must be question #1 on their application Do you like to make people's lives miserable? This is coming from a retired State Police Officer, who has dealt with these guys more times than he cares to think about, in an official capacity. Even their own bosses have issues with them at times. I was sent to a possible murder on a state reservoir and the DNR responded. Fortunately, one of their Captains realized the issue and met me just before the crime scene to talk to me. He explained what was found and said, "I called you to take the lead because those idiots haven't a clue and I don't want them f*****g it up." He was right they totally F-ed it up and only because I got confessions from the two suspects, their screw up never came to light, because there was never a trial. Anyway, I don't even own a fishing pole so I have no clue as where to go or what you may catch.

Don't take any more advice from your friend that recommended you rent out a wanderlodge. I have had a few friends boldly ask if I would ever rent or lend my bus to them. It is always the most mechanically clueless.

DNR; that is hilarious. I have always told my teenage son that if he ever needs the police in an emergency not to call 911 but to call the DNR hotline and report someone illegally hunting or fishing because he will get a quicker response.

There’s a lot of truth to your comment. Unfortunately…….

I just read through that thread. Lots of good advises here from good WOG folks. I owned BB for almost 10 years and I have found answers to ALL my questions on that forum. Listen to them carefully: NO RENTING!
If you change your mind in regards to headlights, I will be selling ours this August after our last trip - we are heading out to California in couple of weeks.
Good luck Jeffrey with your hunting!
