I was going to see if I could do it without pulling the radiator. But after looking at my radiator and cooling system, I need to get it out and have it looked at. Probably just going to have them re-core it while I have it out so I do not have to worry about it in the future.
We did not remove the rad, this job was done on a 98LXI,we did the job over the pit, woody in the pit and myself reaching in from the back.
the engine was hot,and we both got some burns on out hands and arms.
But,the owner offered us a $500 bonus if we could get him on the road asap,so we did it without steam cleaning or letting it cool off.
WE got the bonus!

How do you get the fan blade off with out damaging the radiator? Is ther room enough to get ranches on the nut that holds it on the shaft?

On my 83 Coachcraft changed my fan without moving the radiator. But that was John Boy and I’m pretty sure he can do just about anything.

Got mine tore apart today... it would be a real pain to pull the fan motor without removing the radiator. The problem I would see is getting the hub off the motor, my hub for the fan blades is larger than the hole it has to come through so it has to come off.

Here is the hole left after pulling the radiator and the motor and the hydraulic reservoir.
