Default Full time soon

We now have a contract to sell the house.

After offer, counter offer, and counter counter offer, we now have a deal on the house sale. $7500 under the asking price. In this economy we are accepting the offer. Too many houses on the market with too few qualified buyers. We just hope all goes well on the closing. Final closing 27 Feb. We will be moved out by 24 Feb, into a local campground.

We plan to begin full time rv travel sometime in April. First stop Oklahoma to see daughter and the grandkids, then likely Rockport TX near Corpus Christi for at least one month.

We will become South Dakota residents, although we will seldom actually be there.

I need to contact my insurance company and make sure they will still cover us as fulltimers.

Now the tough part: disposing of all the furniture and "stuff". Yard sale, sell to friends, give-aways, and donations. Under 4 weeks to dispose of it all, while still working full time.

We setup a blog we will update as we begin to fulltime:

To dispose of all your treasures; hire a good auctioneer, because the professional buyers will rip your socks off without you knowing it. Knowing true value on everything is a difficult task; open competitive bidding you will most likely do better in the long run.
Good luck on the offer on your house; it's not sold until it closes, and it hasn't closed until you have the check in your hand at the closing table. The economic times will get rougher before it gets better, we all hope it will turn around soon.

Default CONGRATULATIONS!!

Howdy, Dan.
Hope that all goes well at the final closing of your house. When we were going fulltime, I donated almost everything to the Salvation Army. In these tough economic times, donations would certainly be appreciated.

Dan,

You may want to join that BBMaps group started by Don Arcata (sp?)

It lets your friends know where you are and it's easy to hook up with other BB people you get close too. We like it. And not that it will replace a blog, but you can put some stuff on the map to tell people what you are doing.

That would be Don Bradner, donb@arcatapet.com for info.
Good luck on your closing and subsequent full timing. I would be thrilled if someone would offer anywhere close to the asking price of all my property. I may have to donate it to charity. lol

Congrats on maybe selling your house. Hope it closes on time.
The wife loves fulltiming since we sold our house.
No taxes, house upkeep, etc.
We are saving money fulltiming.
We have more spendable income now than when we both were working and owning a home on the Washington coast.
You will enjoy fulltiming.

We did sucessfully close on the house, and I am no longer working (last full paycheck today). Sandy works until 19 March, and we have a few medical/dental/eye appointments still to do. We are in a KOA for 1 month while we wrap everything up.

We set up a mail forward service in SD, near my sisters house. We changed plates on the coach and toad to SD, drivers licences within the next 60 days. SD is our new domicile - TX, FL and SD looked best, with sister nearby in SD that decided it for us.

Oklahoma first to see daughter and grandkids, then either SD or Rockport TX for a month.
