Does your water heater also connect to the radiator hose from the engine to keep the heater warm?

Thanks for the tip! Did you also attach the heat exchanger thru your radiator system?
I haven't pulled mine from the back of the coach so I dont know if I have the same set up.
Will get to it this weekend!

Yes. Heat exchange was opposite side from the water lines. Used radiator hose clamps to shut off that system. Lost maybe only a maybe half a liter of antifreeze from what was inside the old unit. The biggest challenge I had on the FC was removing the old copper plumbing- mostly because of the versa valve and lack of clearance. Used sharkbites and pex to rebuild that area.
