I saw a 4th "Concept Coach" in Hilton Head a couple of years ago. The fellow that owned it said there were six made, Ron has heard there were 8, and I was told there were 12. If there were 6, I've seen most of them; if there were 8, I've seen half of them, if 12 I've only seen a third. There is only one feature on the outside that denotes a "Concept Coach". The outside step is electric and has a cutout in the sheet metal below the door. There is also no light above the step. It is underneath the body and shines down on the step.

Jack,

Isn't that the truth. When a thread drifts, that's when the real thinking gets done!

I often see a new thread that doesn't particularly interest me. If that thread stands the test of time and keeps bumping up to the top of the list, it's a good indication that drift is happening, and there's something interesting there.

And,there was one SP 36 with a front entry door.
That SP was built for Buddy Luce and he sold it to a guy in La. and he sold it to his daughter.
good stuff here,keep it coming!
Sorry Ron,we stole your thread!
There is a 38' wide body for sale on vintagebirds - 4th from the bottom. Its been there for a while. I've seen a couple other 88 38' WB for sale. I'm not sure that I've seen a 38' NB for 88 though.

White coach..
Yep, I had hear of that one. Wasn't it one of the 1st wide bodies but built on a "narrow body" frame. If I recall correctly someone had told me that there were a few of these that used some existing NB builtup frames and built the wide body shell on them. Can't confirm, just what i was told....

I'll go back and look at my brochure for '88. I could have swore that it shows two different 38' floor plans....

So, is it time to start a database of all these coaches?
