Default Redi Line??

I know this is an older thread but thought it best to keep the questions in this thread.

Trying to get my Rediline to operate. Just got the bus last month and never tried to fire it up until yesterday.

Everything looks very well cared for in the front curb side box. I know that looks can be deceiving with electrical things.

There are two solenoids that must control the operation. Is it possible one or both solenoids are defective, if so is there a test procedure to determine if they are working or not?

The primary PO that owned Ruby said he used the ice maker all the time and the Rediline was in good working order. The interim PO said he could not get it to work at all. Honestly it looks like it should work though. I realize there are a few possibilities here including a dysfunctional ice maker. But I did try the outlet in the galley marked "Rediline Outlet".

Hey if it will work why replace it? If it is indeed "DEAD" then my choice is obvious but would like to confirm it's operation if I can.

Thank you.

The RediLine is supposed to work while coach engine is running and off the "grid" also genny off. Icemaker power drapes and 1 or 2 outlets.

Default Redi Line??

Hi Ernie,

Thanks for helping out. I found this older thread and thought I would keep the content on the subject in the same location. Then I realized that some folks may not read the last most recent post so I started a new thread probably right when you were offering your knowledge.

It looks like on Ruby that only the U-line and receptacle in the galley are the only known locations that will trip the Rediline. Scott took such great care of Ruby that I doubt very seriously that the Rediline is bad. I am thinking it might be the solenoids but then don't know how to test them.

Let's see what information the newer thread provides.

Thanks for your help.

Try adding a light current load such as a 60 watt light bulb.
